"Carson
City Symphony plays Gershwin" concert with
GREAT
JOB last night. [É] and I really
enjoyed the performance, especially the Concerto in F by Gershwin and Alexander
Tutunov. It seemed like the
orchestra rose to the challenge of playing with such an accomplished pianist,
and together they created the best sounds we've heard from the Carson City
Symphony! -B.V.
A very
nice concert, especially the Gershwin.
One could tell that Alexander Tutunov enjoys his work! -C.T.
The
Gershwin was such fun for me. I
LOVE Alex's playing, his wonderful sense of style and appropriate encores, and
his special kindness toward the orchestra members. Thank you for bringing him here again. -N.M.
Sunday
afternoon's CC symphony concert was a great performance! É I can honestly say that it was
absolutely one of the best performancesÉ It really was! -D.B.
Thank
you for a fine program. Your
opening program was wonderful.
Good programming as usual.
Your soloist, Tutunov, was exciting and most graciousÉ.Looking forward
to Holiday concert. -S.F.
I was impressed with quality of the program. I was totally blown away by the "Strings in the Schools" demonstration, and wish to contribute a bit to "y'all" for their musical continuance. Ð D.M.
The concert on Sunday was very enjoyable! Ð K.B.
This afternoon's performance was one of my most enjoyable episodes of music-making in some time. Thanks for your professionalism and attention to detail. I understand why you have such loyal fans. And, as a life-long music educator, [I feel that] your Association's support of the "Strings in the Schools" program is noteworthy all in itself. What a gift to our community! - A.H.
Symphony

Just wanted to tell you that we thought Saturday's concert was outstanding. The orchestra sounded marvelous, the visiting artist was top notch - and such a treat for Carson City. Our thanks to all of you for a lovely evening. Ð M.W. & C.W.
The flute quartet was lovely, and Ashu was spectacular. I heard nothing but raves for him this morning. Ð C.T.
Ashu was one of the best soloists we've had - such a pleasant young man on top of being a super musician. Ð J.Z.
I heard the Carson City Symphony in Fallon - I enjoyed it very much. Ð D.O.
The saxophonist Ashu was awe-inspiring. Thank you and please keep it up so we and so many others can enjoy. Ð F.F. & O.F.

We enjoyed the last concert so much. - J.L & A.L.
Ana is terrific! I enjoyed the whole concert. - N.K.
From
the beginning with the flute gathering in the lobby, to the end with Bruce
Roter's magnificent "Camp David Overture," the entire afternoon was
nearly perfectÉthe strings were passionate, the winds appropriately tuneful,
the brass resonant, and the percussion appropriate. The whole afternoon was delightful. Ð C.T.
Hope the next concert series is as successful as the last one! Ð A.H.
"Holiday
Treat" Concert
December 10,
2006
We went
to the concert yesterday and it was beautiful!!! Our party of six thoroughly enjoyed the concert -- all the
Christmas music was wonderful and the violin soloist was terrific!!!! Steve and Iris must be just bursting at
the seams every time they hear him play!--C.M.
[We]
really enjoyed the concert last night.
Our preference would have been a few more traditional Christmas Carols,
but we certainly enjoyed the show . . . I didn't have a chance to congratulate
David on his outstanding job. I've
never heard the Carson Symphony sound better.--J.V.
This was
truly an old-fashioned Christmas concert -- something people needed. Thanks for doing a more traditional
concert. I saw some of the
attendees wiping their eyes when certain carols were being sung. The way in which the world is evolving,
we may not see these types of concerts in the future. The kids are always a great touch and all looked great in
their red on the stage.--R.H.
Your
Christmas concert was terrific.--G.M.
We
greatly enjoyed the Christmas concert!--B.&J.G.
More
Congratulations on [Holiday Treat concert] by the way. On the "audience was happy"
scale, I think you scored above a 10!--M.K.A.
