Opening Concert,
23rd Season
October 22, 2006
I
thought the concert was wonderful! . . . sounded really good! I think you guys did a terrific job
choosing the music. It was
beautiful . . . And the length of the concert was just right - not too
long!--N.K.
The high
spot, for me, was Bernstein's "Simple Song" from his Mass. It was
poignant and beautifully played.--C.T.
Congratulations
on a Lovely Concert.--M.K.A.
The
concert went very well; in fact, it was one of your best in my experience. I was particularly impressed by the
Brahms concerto, which was forceful and yet tender and expressive.--A.M.S.
The performance was wonderful. We had a grand time and plan to attend on a regular basis.--F.T.
The
highlight was visiting violinist Carla Trynchuk and cellist Stephen Framil in
Brahms' "Double Concerto for Violin and Cello." It was masterfully played with very
able backing from the symphony, led by David Bugli, music director.--S.B., Nevada Appeal Read
